Airport information
Timisoara Airport TRAIAN VUIA (TSR) (http://aerotim.ro/) is located 12 km
from the city centre and provides direct
links to many international destinations. From the airport to the city
centre you can use bus or take a taxi. Travel time to the city centre
is maximum 30 min.
One road by taxi from the Timisoara Airport to the city centre doesn't cost
more than 60 RON (~15 EUR).

There are daily trains from/to Budapest (approximate journey time - 5 hours), and Wien (approximate journey time - 8 ½ hours). Trains to other western European cities run via Budapest.
There are daily trains to/from Bucharest, Arad, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Oradea, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Sighetu Marmatiei, Suceava and several other Romanian cities.
There are daily INTERCITY (Express) trains connecting Timisoara with Bucharest (approximate journey time: 7 ½ hours), Arad (approximate journey time: 45 minutes), Cluj (approximate journey time: 5 hours) and Oradea (approximate journey time: 2 ½ hours).

You can get train schedule information and make reservations up to 24 hours in advance. Tickets for same-day travel can only be purchased at the station.
Means of transport from the North Railway Station
Tram no. 1 - from the North Station to the city centre
(Mitropolitan Cathedral Stop);
Bus no. E3 (Express 3) - from the North Station to the
city centre (Mitropolitan Cathedral Stop);
From the Mitropolitan Cathedral you will have to cross the city centre
until you reach the Opera House. Hotel Timisoara is located right on the
left side of the Opera House, very easy to spot.
One road by taxi from the North Station to the city centre doesn't cost
more than 8 RON (~2 EUR).
