Welcome to the official website of the First Euro-Regional Conference on Parasitic Zoonoses - 2014.

The conference will be held on 16th-18th October 2014 in Timisoara, Romania, and is organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Banat's University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine "Regele Mihai I al României" ("King Michael I of Romania") from Timisoara and the Faculty of Medicine of the “Victor Babes” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timisoara, Romania.

The Summaries of the conference will be published in a supplement of the medical journal "Scientia Parasitologica". The most interesting papers will be fully published in a special issue of the same journal.

The first Euro-Regional Conference on Parasitic Zoonoses aims to provide an international exchange of information and publication of research results in the field of human and veterinary parasitic zoonoses. The conference is also intended to link human and veterinary medical research. The beneficiaries of the results of the conference will be both the researchers and practitioners from the academia as well as the staff involved in human and veterinary health.

The main objective of the conference is to promote research and development of veterinary and human parasitological science in order to protect human and animal health. Another objective concerns the exchange of information between the human and veterinary medicine, the involvement of teachers, researchers, specialists, veterinarians and physicians, practitioners and students.

The conference will be held annually in October, and will be a forum for discussions on the achievements and problems encountered in parasitic zoonoses.
